MAPUSA: Nerul SC registered a fluent 3-1 win over Augustias SC in the inaugural match of Calangute Panchayat Cup 2025 in memory of Rev Fr Conceicao D'Silva organised by St Savio Sports Club, Calangute, at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Friday.
In the very 11th minute, Augustias SC stunned their opponents with Raju Padashi scoring off a cross from Anford Fernandes.
Nerul SC exerted tremendous pressure and equalised in the 31st minute through Prasad Dabolkar off a cross by Chaitan Dabolkar, 1-1. On crossing over in the 38th minute, Nerul SC scored their second goal through Prajot Shirodkar’s neat placement.
After the sending off Augustias SC player Umesh Pujar for reckless tackle on Nerul SC player in the 55th minute, Prasad Dabolkar pumped in Nerul SC’s third goal.
