Odisha to Face Jharkhand in Girls’ Final of Dream Sports Championship 2025

RAIA: Odisha will face Jharkhand in the girls’ finals of the Dream Sports Championship Football 2025 National Finals on Tuesday.

In Sunday’s evening matches played at SAG ground, Benaulim, Odisha drew their last match against Delhi 2-2, yet qualified for the final on the strength of their earlier wins. The Odisha goal scorers were captain Ipshita Rout (16th minute) and Kiran Deep (56th minute), while the Delhi scorers were Tanya Singh (52nd minute) and Deeva (94th minute).

In the second match, Kerala hammered Rajasthan 6-0. For Kerala, S Sona (32nd and 66th minute), Aysha Mirhana (47th and 81st minute) and captain Bhagya Vinod (57th and 76th minute) scored a brace each.

In the morning, Jharkhand reached the final after defeating Assam 1-0 at the SAG ground, Utorda.

Shaulina Dang’s brilliant goal in the 19th minute proved decisive, as Jharkhand’s defence held firm throughout the match. Both teams had won the first two matches in their group, making this match equivalent to a semi-final which was eventually won by the Jharkhand team.

In another match played at the SAG Benaulim, ground, Goa registered a commanding 3-0 win against Karnataka to record their first win of the tournament. After a goalless first half, Goa dominated the second half, with Prissy Pereira scoring twice in quick succession (52nd and 56th minute), before Pearl Fernandes added a third goal in the 89th minute.
