Thrilling Encounters in U-12 Diamond Mixed Football: Our Lady of Carmel and The King’s School Shine

PANJIM: The action-packed U-12 Diamond Mixed Boys and Girls 7-a-side football category witnessed thrilling encounters.

In a Round 5 match, Our Lady of Carmel High School, Curtorim, and St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor, delivered a tightly contested game that ended in a draw.

Rahul Menezes (St Joseph’s Educational Institute) was awarded player-of-the-Match for his commendable performance.

In the Round 7 match, The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, emerged victorious against Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Nuvem, with an outstanding display by Elmer Fernandes (The King’s School), who was named player-of-the-match.

The U-10 Diamond Mixed Boys and Girls 5-a-side futsal also brought exciting moments as the Round 3 match featured The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, securing a strong win against Our Lady of Carmel High School, Curtorim. Dane D’Silva (The King’s School) was recognised as the player-of-the-match for his excellent game play and contribution to his team’s success.

In the earlier matches, Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, secured a victory over The King’s School (Red), Sao Jose De Areal, in the U-12 Sapphire 7-a-side football (Round 2) category at The King’s School ground.

The player of the match was Rylan Furtado (Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim), whose outstanding performance led his team to success.

In another Sapphire encounter, St Joseph High School, Margao, triumphed against Holy Spirit Institute, Margao. Samarth Kalal (St Joseph High School, Margao) earned the player of the match title for his remarkable contributions

The U-12 diamond featured intense matches. Infant Jesus High School, Colva and Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Nuvem, played a hard-fought draw, with Gautam Ainnger (Infant Jesus High School, Colva) named player of the match for his exceptional effort.

The King’s School (Blue), Sao Jose De Areal, claimed victory against Marina English High School, Verna, with a stellar performance by Chrisanne Cardoz (The King’s School (Blue), Sao Jose De Areal), earning her player of the match honours.

The final Diamond match saw St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor, and Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna, end in a thrilling draw. Players of the match, Adriyel Coloco (St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor) and Flavion Cardozo (Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna), were recognised for their exceptional gameplay and sportsmanship.

Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, defeated Bloomz International School, Verna in U-12 Sapphire (Round 2) category.

Players of the match, Spandana Shetty (Bloomz International School) and Pratik Sarmalkar (Perpetual Succour Convent High School), delivered stellar performances.

The U12 Diamond 7-a-side football (Round 3) showcased multiple exciting games. The King’s School (Blue), Sao Jose De Areal, triumphed over St Anthony’s High School, Cuncolim, with Elmer Fernandes (The King’s School) named player of the match. Rosary High School, Navelim emerged victorious against St Xavier’s High School, Verna, with Climax Gomes (Rosary High School) earning top honours.

Infant Jesus High School, Colva, outplayed St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor, led by player of the match Cayden Fernandes (Infant Jesus High School). Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna, secured a win over St Anne’s Institute, Agonda, with an impressive showing by Flavion Cardozo (Regina Martyrum High School).

Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Nuvem, defeated Mount Mary’s High School, Chinchinim, with Sneider Simoes (Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School)earning player of the match recognition.

In the U-8 mixed 5-a-side Futsal (Round 2), The King’s School, Sao Jose De Areal, clinched a victory against Our Lady of Succour High School, Verna, with Daiwik Vernekar (The King’s School) standing out.

The U-6 Diamond 3-a-side Futsal matches saw Our Lady of Succour High School, Verna, winning against The King’s School, Sao Jose De Areal, with Rishab Naik (Our Lady of Succour High School) shining bright.

Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, triumphed over Bloomz International School, Verna, with Jordan Diniz (Perpetual Succour Convent High School) and Kurt D’sa (Bloomz International School) delivering notable performances.

The Next Gen League is a grassroots football and futsal league which follows All India Football Federation blue cubs guidelines organised by The King’s Sports Academy with The King’s School.
