RAIA: Peddem Bomm SC defeated hosts Raia Sporting Club 4-2 via the tie-breaker to enter the quarter-finals of 50th Custodio memorial inter- village football tournament at Raia ground, Friday.
Swedon Barbosa gave an early lead to Raia SC in the 8th minute. Later, Danny Fernandes and Eldon Colaco missed easy scoring chances for Raia.
Peddem Bomm equalized in the 38th minute through Faheez Mohammad.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Dinesh Moraskar, Pratik Dhargalkar and Kunal Virnodkar netted for Peddem Bomm. Only Lloyd Cardozo was on target for Raia.
Soma Korgaonkar, goalkeeper of Peddem Bomm, was declared as man-of-the match. He received the prize from Savio Gomes.
