RAIA: Priority Titans and Canacona Mathagram United registered commanding victories in the Alcon GSB Unity Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by the Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust in association with the Goa Saraswat Samaj at the MCC ground, Margao.

In the morning match, Priority Titans overwhelmed Sinq Rangers UC with a resounding 110-run victory. Opting to bat first, Priority Titans set an imposing target of 199/8 in 20 overs, led by contributions from Siddesh Amonkar (35), Siddharth Ghanekar (32 off 20),* and a quick-fire 26 off 9 balls by Vikrant Prabhu. For Sinq Rangers, Tunish Sawkar stood out with 3 wickets.

In response, Sinq Rangers were bundled out for just 89 runs in 15.1 overs. While Samrudh Bharne top-scored with 35, it was the Titans’ bowlers who stole the show. Vikrant Prabhu (3/13) and Smitesh Divekar (3/4) delivered stellar performances, with Vikrant being named Player of the Match.

The afternoon session saw Canacona Mathagram United defeat Mapusa Dream Crushers UC by 5 wickets with 8 balls to spare. Batting first, Mapusa Dream Crushers posted 137 all out in 19.5 overs. Despite a strong opening partnership of 79 runs between Saish Hegde (37) and Sarvesh Kamat (35), Canacona’s bowlers, led by Krishnakant Hegde Desai (4/10), restricted the total effectively.

Chasing 138, Canacona Mathagram United got off to a blazing start with an opening stand of 50 runs in just 4.5 overs, powered by Viraj Puranik (32) and Sahil Mandrekar (34). Though they suffered a minor collapse, Ramnath Prabhu Bam (20 off 9 balls)* and Ameya Rajadhyax (9)* guided the team home in 18.4 overs. Krishnakant Hegde Desai was adjudged Player of the Match for his remarkable bowling.

Earlier, the Madgaon Royals clinched a thrilling three-wicket victory against the Mapusa Dream Crushers.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the Royals restricted the Dream Crushers to 157 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, the Royals successfully chased down the target, scoring 161 runs for 7 wickets in 18.4 overs.
