MAPUSA/RAIA: PVC Parra played their hearts out to hold Vagator Parish Youth Sport Club to a 2-2 draw in the inaugural match of Goa Football Association Division II League Bardez Zone match played at Parra ground, on Friday.
Vagator PYSC’s Wilson Fernandes netted a brace scoring in the 34th and 40th minute of play, while crossing ends PVC Parra’s Roydon Rego was equal to the task to get back his team into the match by also netting a brace in the 47th and 52nd minute of play.
PVC Parra should have scored two more goals through Joston Cardoz and Cyprian Rodrigues but both their strikes from inside the penalty box were brilliantly blocked by Vagator’s goalkeeper Glenn Fernandes.
At the other end, PVC Parra’s custodian Soma Korgaonkar was also at his very best to deny Wilson Fernandes from completing his hat-trick by blocking his strike from just outside the 6-yard box and collecting Ruthik Bandodkar’s placement with a full stretched diving save.
In the stoppage time, Soma managed to fist the ball for a corner from Tyson Carvalho’s free-kick.
Rising Star SCC win
Rising Star SCC outplayed Chicalim SC 3-0 at Tilak Maidan, Vasco. Sachin Patil scored a brace, while Aditya Kumar scored one goal for Rising Star SCC.
Pax Nagoa, Vasco SC

Pax of Nagoa SC thrashed South Goa United CSC 6-0 to register win in the Goa Football Association U-13 Division I League match played at Nagoa panchayat ground, on Friday.
Savion Fernandes and Princerio Olivero scored a brace each, while Macklan Menezes and Mevilo Calado scored goal each for Pax of Nagoa SC.
At Dramapur ground, Vasco SC edged past Churchill Brothers 3-1. Varun Rathi, Utkarsh Singh and Daksh Redkar scored for Vasco SC, while Mukesh Rajbahdur Kashap reduced the margin for Churchill Brothers.
