CALANGUTE: Raia Sporting emerged victorious in a nail-biting encounter against Navelim Sporting Club, winning on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time, in the Calangute Association Cup, played at the Poriat ground.
Ronaldo Pereira gave Navelim the lead before Joswel Cardozo levelled for Raia with a calm finish. With no further goals in regulation time, the tie was settled by a penalty shootout, where Raia held their nerve to progress.
Goalkeeper Jake Madeira, was awarded man-of-the-match.
