SAO JOSE DE AREAL: In the round one of U-15 boys Emerald Division, Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna, began their campaign with a win over St Jude’s High School, Betalbatim, in the Next Gen League 3.0 - Inter-School Football and Futsal League organised by The King’s Sports Academy at The King’s School ground, Sao Jose de Areal, recently.
Vollan Coutinho earned the player-of-the-match honours for his dynamic display. In the U-15 girls Diamond Division, The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, claimed a solid win over Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna, led by Michelle Reju, who was named the player-of-the-match. In the Sapphire Division semi-final of U-17 boys category, The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, advanced into the final after a determined win over St Jude’s High School, Betalbatim, with Aaryav Da Costa being recognised as the player-of-the-match.
In the second U-17 boys Sapphire Division semi-final saw Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna, edge past St Rita High School, Curtorim, to book their place in the final. Alex Fernandes was instrumental in the win and took home player-of-the-match honours.
In round two of U-15 boys Emerald Division, Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna, secured their second consecutive victory, this time over St Anthony’s High School, Cuncolim, with Vollan Coutinho once again named the player-of-the-match for his consistent brilliance.
In round three of U-15 girls Diamond Division, Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna, defeated Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna, led by Shraddha Jambotkar, who was named player-of-the-match.
In round three of U-17 girls Diamond Division, The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, recorded a crucial win over St Rita High School, Curtorim, with Keren D’Souza earning player-of-the-match recognition for her performance.
