PANJIM: Sanquelim Eagles defeated Sanguem Warriors to clinch Eagles Cup 2025 in the final played at Kick Sports ground, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, recently.
After winning the toss, Sanquelim Eagles choose to field first. Batting first, Sanguem Warriors scored 33/6 in 5 overs with strong fierce bowling attack by Eagles Bowlers Yunus took two wickets and gave 4 runs and Farhan, Rafik (Bhau), Babul and Liakat took one wicket each.
In response, Sanquelim Eagles scored 35/4 in 4.1 overs. Rafik (Bhau) scored 17 runs not out.
In the semis-final, Sanquelim Eagles defeated favourites Jolly Tiger Golden Team.
The event was graced by President of Sanquelim Eagles Sayed Yakub along with notable figures such as Director of SE’s Sayed Irfan and Asif Aga, Parvez Shaikh (president of JTGT), Rizwan Shah (president of Sangeum Warriors) and Javed Shaikh (president of Karama 32 Warriors) and Mustaq Gazi, who gave away the prizes.

The event was held on an international-standard grass ground and featured both day and night matches with 12 games played throughout the day by top 5 teams of Goa.
