RAIA: Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim won their sixth consecutive match 2-1 defeating Mandopa SC in a 7th round match of Goa Football Association Division I League match played at Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Tuesday.
They now top the table with 18 points in Group B. In a fast paced encounter, there was no score at lemon break. But in the second half, it was SCC Cavelossim, who took the lead when Sam was given a lofted pass by Khanchan, where he deftly controlled the ball and shot into the top corner of the goal to give SCC Cavelossim a deserving lead.
But Mandopa SC did not give up the fight and they equalised in the 85th minute. But agile U-21 player Aliton Fernandes scored a solo goal in the injury time to seal SCC Cavelossim’s sixth straight win, 2-1.

Panchwadi United SC downed Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, 2-0, in the GFA U-17 Division II League match played at DBO ground, Fatorda, on Tuesday. Rio Fernandes and Ashish Kumar Patel scored a goal each for Panchwadi United.
In another match played at SAG ground, Benaulim, Snow’s Football Academy defeated Wilred Leisure SC 2-1. Royson Moniz and Messi Rebello scored for Snow’s FA, while Showin Carvalho reduced the margin for Wilred Leisure SC.
