Sridora Caculo, GMC, Agnel Ins, Goa Multi-Faculty secure wins

PANJIM: Day 4 of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Football Championship 2025-26 for Men saw commanding victories and thrilling shootouts at the Goa University and Rosary Church grounds, on Wednesday.

At the University ground, SV’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, cruised past Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal’s College of Commerce, Shirshire Borim, with a 4-0 win. Prathamesh Sawant struck twice in the 12th and 16th minutes, before Vedant Gadekar (54’) and Aryan Pole (59’) sealed the rout. Sawant was adjudged Best Performer.

In the second fixture, Goa Medical College & Hospital, Bambolim, edged past PES’s Ravi S Naik College of Arts & Science, Farmagudi, 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw. GMC’s shootout scorers were Iyle Fernandes, Vishav Kerkar, Croy Fernandes and Bryson Colaco, while Prathamesh Naik and Jovito Dias netted for PES.

At Rosary Church ground, Agnel Institute of Technology & Design, Assagao, thrashed Ganpat Parsekar College of Education, Harmal, 4-0. Shreyash Dabholkar scored in the 14th and 16th minutes, while Mahadev Parwar (48’) and Karthik Gad (68’) added to the tally. Dabholkar was named best performer.

In the day’s final match, SPES’s Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora, edged Goa Dental College & Hospital, Bambolim, 5-4 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw. Sahil Arolkar gave Dental the lead in the 13th minute before Aryan Thakur equalised in the 38th. Multi-Faculty held their nerve in the shootout through Zishan Shaikh, Vijay Naik, Gurav Gaonkar, Sahil Naik and Dattaraj Gaonkar, while Dental replied through Tanmay Kerkar, Manoj Talkur, Gopal Mandrekar and Raj Quadror.
