MAPUSA: St Savio’s SC, Calangute, registered a 6-5 win via sudden death over St Sebastian SC, Mapusa, to move ahead in the Calangute Panchayat Cup in loving memory of Fr Conceicao D’Silva organised by St Savio Sports Club, Calangute, at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Friday. St Savio SC dominated the proceedings from the start but could not score.
On crossing over, Tanay Kerkar had chance to score but failed to get past St Sebastian SC keeper.
St Sebastian SC too had a chance to score but missed it. St Savio SC won vie tie-breaker 6-5 margin.
The man-of-the-match was awarded to Philip Coutinho of St Savio’s SC.
