MAPUSA/RAIA: St Sebastian SC, Mapusa, drubbed Laxmi Prasad SC by 5-1 margin in the Goa Football Association’s Division III League Bardez Zone match played at Moira ground, on Tuesday.
At the breather, teams were locked in a 1-1 draw.
Kaviraj Paizwar put St Sebastian SC ahead in the 24th minute only to find Malikchang Sonnar level terms for Laxmi Prasad SC.
On crossing ends, Pratik Naik netted a brace for St Sebastian SC with Stevan Fernandes and Yuvraj Harijan adding their names to the scorer’s list.
At Assonora ground, YSC Colvale registered a well deserved 3-0 win over Augustias Sporting Club.
All the goals were scored in the second session of play. Nathan Pereira opened the account for YSC Colvale in the 57th minute of play with Nayeem Shaikh and Cyrus Da Cruz adding their names to the scorer’s list.
At Siolim ground, Sodiem Siolim Sports and Cultural Club Association were held by Sai Avtar, Anjuna, to a 1-1 draw.
Srikant Sawant put Sodiem Siolim SCC ahead only to find Dipesh Parsekar level terms for Sai Avtar.
Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado defeated Macasana Welfare Club 3-1 to register win in the Salcete Zone league match played at DSYA ground, Curtorim. Morain Belki, Vayne Pires and substitute Irfan Ballari scored a goal each for Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado. The only goal for Macasana Welfare Club was netted by substitute Fabian Fernandes.
In another match, at Raia panchayat ground, Futebol Club YFA thrashed Arlem Youth Association by 8-3 goals. Jonathan Leitao scored four, substitute Shanon Furtado scored a brace, while Riddesh Madgaonkar and Adler Teles scored a goal each for Futebol Club YFA. For Arlem Youth Association, Jeff Gauncar scored a brace, while Regan Vas scored a goal.
