MARGAO: The Next Gen League 3.0 witnessed a thrilling milestone in the U-17 girls Diamond Division, as The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, claimed the championship title with a dominant victory over Rosary High School, Navelim. The standout performer of the match, Siddhi Sawant, led her team with an exceptional display and was deservedly named player of the match.
With this victory, The King’s School were crowned champions of the U-17 girls Diamond League, while Rosary High School concluded their inspiring campaign as runners-up.
In the U-17 boys Emerald Division semi-final, Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna booked their place in the final following a win over AIM High School, Davorlim. Danstan Fernandes impressed in midfield and earned the Player of the Match award for his commanding performance.
Meanwhile, in Round 2 of the U-15 boys Sapphire Division, St Pius X High School, Orlim overcame Rosary High School, Navelim. Welsh Fernandes played a key role in securing the win, to earn player of the match honours.
The Next Gen League is an Inter-School Football and Futsal league organised by The King’s Sports Academy, with The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal as the venue partner.
