RAIA: Title holders Margao Cricket Club (MCC) entered the final of 3rd Chandrakant Karapurkar Trophy defeating a spirited Cricket Club of Altinho by 6 wickets in the 1st semi-final played at the Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Margao.
Batting first, the Mapusa team Altinho scored 141 for 9 in 20 overs. Aman Dhooper (52) batted well.
Smit Ayan Mishra (3/30) was the pick of the bowlers with Aditya Angle (3/27) supplementing Aryan well. MCC chased well and played sensible game to crawl to 144 for 4 in the 19 overs.
Vasu Tiwari (49) and Shantanu Nevagi (32) played well to steer MCC to 6 wickets win.
