RAIA: United Boys of Ambaulim stormed into the semi-finals after defeating Sporting Club of Davorlim 5-1, in the ongoing St Joseph Festival football tournament at Daramapur ground on Friday.
SC Davorlim took the lead in the 23rd minute through Sanford Colaco and despite creating further chances, they were denied by UB Ambaulim goalkeeper Ibon Fernandes, who brought off some excellent saves to keep his side in contention.
UB Ambaulim fought back strongly and equalised in the 33rd minute through Teron Fernandes, who struck again in the 48th minute.
Visiton Fernandes added a brace in the 38th and 55th minute, while Grimson Fernandes got his name on the score-sheet in the 43rd minute, completing a remarkable turnaround.
