RAIA: United Boys Ambaulim marched into the next round with a commanding 5-0 victory over São José de Areal SC in the 3rd Fr Bruno Leitao memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Union of Chinchinim Villagers at Chinchinim Church ground, on Tuesday.
UB Ambaulim took the lead right from the first minute when Sowell Fernandes struck early.
São José de Areal SC almost found an equaliser in the 25th minute, but an UB Ambaulim defender cleared the ball off the goal line. Just before the break, Alex Fernandes doubled the advantage to make it 2-0 at half-time.
The second half saw Dailon Carvalho netting twice in quick succession - in the 4th and 10th minute - to extend the lead to 4-0. Felixson Fernandes added the fifth in the 53rd minute to seal a resounding win for UB Ambaulim.
