RAIA: United Club Seraulim entered into the final of 17th St Anthony Festival Cup defeating Guardian Angel SC 6-5 via tie-breaker in the second semi-final played at Moll ground, Assolda.
The match started on slow pace due to heavy rains and took time to settle. UC Seraulim stuck first goal through Klusner Pereira in the 25th minute of play, while Guardian Angel SC levelled the score in the 31st minute through Jaison Dias. Both teams remained 1-1 draw till the full time.
In the deceive penalty shoot-out that followed Guardian Angel SC scored through Fedrich Fernandes, Godwin D’Costa, Ivo Costa and Cyril Dias, while UC Seraulim netted through Ashley Fernandes, Klusner Pereira, Flocio Fernandes, Oliver D’Souza and Selney Fernandes.
UC Seraulim will now face Margao Sports Club in the final on August 10.
