RAIA: USC Seraulim booked their place in the quarter-finals of 46th St Joseph’s Festival football tournament organised by Dramapur SC with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda at Dramapur ground, on Thursday.
Shakam Sanke impressed for USC Seraulim with his energetic play and creativity in attack. However, Don Bosco Oratory’s resilient defence stood firm to deny further damage.
In front of over large spectators, both sides displayed commendable football, but it was Selroy Fernandes who broke the deadlock for USC Seraulim in the 40th minute. Don Bosco Oratory had a golden opportunity to equalise just two minutes later, but Mario Noronha squandered the chance.
