PANJIM: Vedanta Sesa Goa CEO Navin Jaju flagged off #RunForZeroHunger at a walkathon organised at Patto, here, on Thursday. The initiative has been undertaken as part of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon (VDHM) 2025 and will culminate on October 12 and witnessed participation from employees and business partners.
It entails all participants register on the Step Set Go app and for each km logged on the map, Vedanta would contribute a ‘Poshan Pack’ for a child and a nutritious meal for animals.
The overall target is to contribute 5 million ‘Poshan Packs’. Organised under the aegis of Anil Agarwal Foundation, VDHM 2025 represents a call for coming together in the fight against hunger.
Speaking on the occasion, Navin said, “Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon (VDHM) is a much-awaited event as it connects, through the #RunForZeroHunger, with the noble aim of a hunger free world. Over the past editions of the VDHM, we, at Sesa Goa, have contributed over 1 million meals to the nutritional needs of children and animals. VDHM enables us to give back meaningfully to society and also promotes personal well-being while encouraging a physically active life-style. Through the #RunForZeroHunger, we are uniting wellness with purpose, and together, we are joining a movement aimed at making the wolifestyleer place.”
VDHM has emerged as one of Vedanta Group’s most impactful social campaigns. The
#RunForZeroHunger is gaining strong momentum across India, with 40,000 participants already registered on the ‘Step, Set, Go’ app and contributing 2 million out of the overall target of 5 million ‘Poshan Packs’.
Under the aegis of the Anil Agarwal Foundation, the company continues to reinforce its dedication to creating long-term, sustainable impact in communities through education, nutrition, women’s empowerment and animal welfare.
