MAPUSA: Verna Veterans proved to be too good as they trounced Bardez Veterans by 4-0 margin in the all-Goa Siolim Veterans football tournament, played at St Anthony’s Church ground, Siolim, on Tuesday.
The match was witnessed by a large crowd where Verna's Ricardo Carvalho stole the limelight scoring a hat-trick, with Jess Cardoz accounting for the fourth goal with a superb solo effort.
Ricardo Carvalho of Verna Veterans was presented man-of-the-match award by chief guest Dilip Mambrey, former Laxmi Prasad SC and Sesa player.
