PANJIM: Vrishnin Khumaran and Madhav Bhat, students of GVM’s Utkarsh Vidya Mandir, Ponda, secured Standard Rating of 1451 and Standard Rating of 1433 respectively. Both are trained under expert guidance of FIDE Instructor (FI) Wilson Cruz at the Champion’s Chess Academy
Meanwhile, Vrajesh Natekar from Pisgal-Curti got FIDE rating in chess in Standard Format.
He got an ELO Rating of 1457 and is employed as IT engineer.
Vrajesh also serves as chess coach at Ajinkya Chess Academy, Curti-Ponda.
He praised Anand Kurtikar and Ponda Taluka Chess Association for organising chess tournaments in Curti.
Siddesh Kerkar motivated Vrajesh to participate in the rating chess tournaments so that he could get rating.
