VERNA: Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem, outplayed Our Lady of Succour High School, Nagoa, 5-1, in the inaugural match of 2nd All Goa U-17 inter-school Independence Cup 2025 organised by Verna Sports Club at Verna Church ground, on Sunday.
At half time, the score was 2-1 in favour of Mae Dos Pobres High School. Wayne Colaco scored two goals to complete his brace and Crossley Dias, Amchris Pereira and Rohan Komalpatti netted one each.
Macklan Fernandes reduced the margin for Our Lady of Succour High School. Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Fr Royal Raposo, Assistant Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Verna.
