MAPUSA/RAIA: Ten men Xetrapal SC, Oxel, scored a convincing 2-0 victory over St Sebastian SC, Mapusa, to move into the quarter-finals of Peddem Bomm Cup 2025 played at Peddem ground, here, on Tuesday.
Xetrapal SC suffered an early jolt as their goalkeeper was sent off for handling the ball outside the penalty area but they regrouped and not only kept their fort intact but managed to score two goals through Vipul and Vinay. St Sebastian SC did have their chances but their forwards could not capitalise on the opportunities.
Curtorim Gym win
Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Fr Agnel YSC, Paroda, 2-1, to reach the quarter-finals of 33rd Arlem Rolling Trophy organised by Arlem Youth Association, at Raia panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
Curtorim Gymkhana opened the scorline through Aleewad Mascarenhas in the 12th minute but the joy was short-lived as Fr Agnel YSC equalised through Godwin Fernandes in the 14th minute. It was Elton Mascarenhas who netted the match winner in the 48th minute.
