MAPUSA: Young Boys of Tonca registered a hard-fought 5-3 win over Goa Velha SC in the GFA’s Division I League Group B match played at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday.
YBT colts opened their account in the very 10th minute of play where Nur Amin Gaine scored with a neat placement, who in the second session netted his brace.
Manish Murmu, Rio Rodrigues and Md. Amin Mollick added their names to the scorer’s list.
For Goa Velha SC, Kavya Kotkar scored a goal in each session of play with Sarjeev Kunkolkar scoring his team’s third goal.
At Poriat ground, Calangute, Pilerne SC registered a well-deserved 2-0 win over Dempo Juniors.
Darshan Pujari scored in the 37th minute with Ignatius D’Silva making it 2-0 in the 69th minute of play.
YC Manora eased past Nuvem SC 2-0 at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda.
After a goalless opening half, Juluis Carvalho broke the deadlock in the 50th minute before doubling the lead two minutes from time to complete a well-earned brace. The match saw both teams finish with 10 men, as YC Manora’s Leosan Fernandes and Nuvem SC’s Darwin Colaco received red cards in a feisty encounter.
