MARGAO: The Young Strikers Club from Seraulim clashed against the Youth Welfare SC from Assolna in a thrilling encounter that saw the former team secure a 3-0 victory, in the U-13 league match held at the SAG ground.
In the sixth minute, Shane Almeida of the Youth Welfare SC team accidentally scored an own goal, giving the Young Strikers Club an early lead.
The second half saw the Young Strikers Club come out all guns blazing, and they quickly doubled their lead through a brilliant finish from Shane Almedia, but this time it was in the opponent's goal. With a 2-0 lead, the Young Strikers Club seemed to be in complete control of the game.
In the 65th minute, Shane Almeida once again found the back of the net, but this time it was for his own team. The scoreline read 2-1, and it seemed that the Youth Welfare SC team might stage a comeback.
But the Young Strikers Club had other plans, and they quickly regained their two-goal lead through a stunning goal from Shelloyd Siqueira in the 68th minute. This proved to be the final nail in the coffin for the Youth Welfare SC team, who could not muster any more goals in the remaining time.
A. A. De Majorda emerged victorious against Vasco United. The match played at the Panchayat ground, Chicalim was a closely fought encounter between the two teams.
The game got off to an exciting start as Vasco United's Eric Andrade scored a brilliant goal in the 10th minute of the first half. However, A. A. De Majorda responded well to this setback and their star player Fredrickson Fernandes found the back of the net to equalise the scores before the halftime whistle.
The second half was a tightly contested affair as both teams fought hard to find a winner. However, it was Fredrickson Fernandes who proved to be the difference between the two teams as he scored a beautiful goal to give A. A. De Majorda led and secured full points for his team.
Despite some late pressure from Vasco United, A. A. De Majorda's defense held firm and they managed to see out the game and claim a valuable victory.
Rising Star SCC emerged victorious against Benfica Youth Club with a scoreline of 3-2 in the U-13 League 2022-23 Mormugao Zone Division II, at Tilak Maidan in Vasco.
