In a shocking twist that has rattled the quiet village of Ambede, police have arrested Devidas Barve ( father ) and his elder son Uday Barve ( brother ) in connection with the gruesome murder of 24-year-old Shravan Barve.

Known to his community as a kind-hearted soul, Shravan had become a beloved figure in Ambede. Villagers often welcomed him into their homes, ensuring he never went hungry. He was a fixture at every wedding, feast, and function . A wandering son of the village with a generous heart. But this very nature, it seems, had become a point of friction at home.

The arrests were made late saturday night, days after investigators uncovered disturbing evidence that pointed not to outsiders, but to Shravan’s own blood.

The arrests have sent shockwaves through the Nagargaon region. What could drive a father and brother to commit such an unthinkable act ? Was it anger, shame, or some deeper vendetta?

This spine-chilling revelation comes after the earlier arrest of 43-year-old Vasudev Vojrekar, who was taken into custody five days ago on suspicion of murder.

During his interrogation, Vojrekar reportedly named Devidas and Uday as accomplices in the crime, pulling the curtain back on a deadly family feud that ended in bloodshed.

Shravan Barve was found strangled to death on Tuesday, the 15th of the month. While the village of Ambede plunged into mourning, the demeanor of his father and brother raised immediate red flags.

Police sources confirmed that both Devidas and Uday remained eerily calm and emotionless, showing no signs of grief ; a detail that did not escape investigators.

According to police sources, long-standing domestic disputes had plagued the Barve household. Devidas, the patriarch, lived in a newly constructed home in Ajobanagar-Honda with his wife and elder son Uday, an engineer. Shravan, unable to maintain peace with his father, had moved out and settled in Ambede, living a modest life sustained by farm work and religious services.

According to sources on the Monday before the murder, a violent altercation reportedly broke out between Devidas and Shravan. The two are believed to have come to blows a fight that may have been the final spark in an already combustible relationship. Shravan had previously filed police complaints against his father, and vice versa a trail of mutual accusations that now reads like a prelude to tragedy.

It was Devidas himself who reported Shravan’s death to the police. But the flat affect shown by both Devidas and Uday at the crime scene immediately drew suspicion. While villagers wept and mourned, the two men remained cold and aloof. Despite the lack of initial evidence, the police were unconvinced by their performance.

Determined to crack the case, SP Akshat Kaushal led a focused investigation. Forensic teams were deployed, and CCTV footage from both the crime scene in Ambede and Devidas’s residence in Honda was retrieved and scrutinized. Bit by bit, the puzzle began to fall into place.

When police interrogated Vojrekar reportedly one of the last people to see Shravan alive , he buckled under pressure. His confession provided the breakthrough authorities were waiting for. With the new information, police moved swiftly to detain Devidas and Uday.

The people of Ambede are shaken. The village that once embraced Shravan as one of their own is now grappling with the horror that his life may have been cut short by those meant to protect him. Sleepless nights and hushed whispers now fill the air, as the community seeks answers to the questions that remain.

As the investigation continues, Devidas and Uday remain in custody. Vasudev Vojrekar has been remanded for ten days, and police have hinted that more revelations could surface in the days to come.
