The Amona Khandola bridge which was build at a cost of Rs 27 crore has now become dangerous due to lack of maintenance. The side railings of the bridge are on the verge of falling and rusty. One railing was tied to another with a thin wire. There are no lights on the 510 metre bridge made of a structural steel truss with reinforced cement concrete slabs with spans. The bridge connects Amona in Bicholim taluka to Khandola village in Ponda taluka.
