Cong assures to start mining 

as per SC guidelines 

Assuring to work in favour of the poor, AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh said the Congress if voted to power will commence mining in Goa as per Supreme Court guidelines and provide more benefits to truck owners and contract drivers.

Addressing the Congress party’s public meeting at Curchorem on Saturday, he said, “We will commence mining in Goa as per Supreme Court guidelines and will work in favour of labourers and poor particularly to give more benefits to truck owners and contract drivers.” 

“BJP makes plans to favour the high and rich people and Congress makes plans for the poor, he said, adding that “Nothing has been done in Gujarat, as the rich became richer and the poor became poorer and message was spread across the country that it is Gujarat model of development.”  

“The Prime Minister promised to bring black money stashed abroad within 100 days and had assured to deposit Rs 15 lakh in each individual account of the people,” Singh said and added that “best thing he has done for the last three years is marketing.”


Electronic city will provide 

25,000 jobs to youth: Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis stated that Centre has planned an electronic city in the State that will provide 25,000 jobs to youth.

Addressing a public meeting at Sanquelim, Fadanvis further stated that BJP government at the centre is planning to implement youth welfare programmes. He added that Goa will be one of the ideal states among others in next five years. 

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said that BJP in Goa has planned and executed different schemes for the welfare of mining-affected people and others despite financial crunch. He called upon people to help BJP to win 26 seats in Goa. 

Sanquelim BJP candidate, Dr Pramod Sawant also spoke.
