The Gera School to come up at Kadamba plateau

PANJIM: Gera Developments announced that The Gera School would be set up at the Kadamba plateau adjoining the Gera’s River of Joy project. The school has received the no objection certificate from the Department of Education and will commence classes for nursery, lower kg, upper kg, first, second, third and fourth standards later this year. 

The School has also applied to the Cambridge board for recognition under the Cambridge system. Once the recognition is received, The Gera School will be affiliated to the Cambridge Assessment International Examinations (CAIE), a body certified by the University of Cambridge, enjoying an 800-year legacy. 

In addition to the course curriculum, The Gera School whose tagline is “nurturing individuality” will focus on creating future-ready students. Admissions open for pre-primary and primary for the academic year 2018-2019.

Sunaina Gera, Head CSR Activities, Gera Developments said, “Each real estate project lasts for a specific duration and upon completion, our role as the developer ends. The school is a long-term venture and showcases our desire to contribute to the cause of education in Goa and reinforces our long-term commitment to the state. Mrs Gera further added that “The Gera School stands for Nurturing Individuality, and the objective is for creating future-ready students. Every child is extraordinary, with the potential to excel in the field of his or her interests and create an identity of his or her own. The international curriculum at The Gera School will be a blend of academics, arts, music, sports and life-skills training which ensures holistic education and the overall development of the children.”

The Gera School has appointed Carol Joseph as principal and Diana Charles as head-teacher training and education quality. Mr Joseph comes with more than twenty-five years of experience working in schools of great repute across India. 

Diana Charles began her career in Education about three decades ago. She has worked in schools across the country in the capacity of a teacher, a Principal, Academic Director and a Teacher trainer. 

The Gera School will have world class robust infrastructure and campus facilities available to students which include specially designed smart classrooms, dedicated rooms for music, theatre and arts, a well-equipped and spacious library for collaborative and independent reading, a range of outdoor sports facilities, laboratories and computer lab.
