MARGAO: Konkan Railway Police found a body of an unknown person, aged 45, lying near Konkan Railway Station, on Monday.
Railway police said that upon information from Station Master, Margao police team headed by Assistant Sub Inspector Dattatray Naik visited the spot and the body was sent to South Goa District Hospital for postmortem examination.
Railway police said, “A case of unnatural death has been registered and investigation is pending. The deceased was wearing dark brown colour long shirt and black colour formal pants and is thin built and brownish complexion.” Police said that no foul play is suspected as yet.
In another case, unknown person, aged 35, committed suicide by hanging with the help of nylon rope to rafter of a shop roof near ESI Hospital, Colmorod-Navelim. The body has been sent to the South Goa District Hospital for preservation. Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
