Dry waste from Margao Govt office dumped at Dharbandora

PONDA: It has come to light that the dry waste such as panels, seized banners and other waste, which were used during the panchayat elections is dumped by the roadside at Devaswada, Dharbandora, belongs to a government office from Margao.

The waste was dumped around 8 to 10 days ago and the locals brought it to notice that all the material indicates, it belongs to a government office based in Margao. 

Locals have suspected that the contractor who is in charge of collecting the garbage from the government offices might have done the same. Some have also pointed out at the government’s hypocrisy of running awareness campaigns such as Swachh Bharat Nital Goem while doing the exact opposite.
