PONDA: The Goa Milk Union Employees Association (GMUE) on Monday gave a notice of three days strike from December 8 to 10 to Managing Director of Goa Sate Co-Operative Milk Producers Union (Goa Dairy) in support of demand for implementation of 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations and also to clear their Dearness Allowance (DA).

In the notice, the GMUE pointed out that in the past in several correspondence/letters to the Administrator and Managing Director have put up their various demands. However, there is no positive response from them till date and therefore have no option but to serve the present notice as a last resort.

The GMUE said that the Administrative Committee Chairman claims through newspaper report that Goa Dairy made a profit of Rs 3 crore and as such their rightful demands are justified at this stage and therefore request to implement the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations, payment of pending Dearness Allowance on or before December 6, failing which they would resort to three days strike from December 8 and the management will be solely responsible for three days token strike.

The copy of notice is also forwarded to Chairman of Administrative Committee and Assistant Labour Commissioner Office at Tisk-Ponda.
