Hoardings scare

With the recent thunderstorm ripping through the massive hoarding at the entrance of the town near Kadamba Bus Stand which usually displays distances to nearby towns, the question or rather the scare of the numerous illegal signages and hoardings installed within the town of Margao. The bigger scare is whether these hoardings are scientifically studied for aerodynamics and wind patterns. The flex vinyl prints on these signboards balloon often during torrential rains, winds and thunder storms ripping these signboards apart and making them land onto the road, endangering lives of people. The MMC will have to study the signages in close proximity of the roads in Margao and the nearby suburbs.

Anniversary of pothole in town?

Margao town has a massive pothole enroute to the Margao-Navelim flyover. This pothole celebrates an anniversary of a sort and is guilty of many accidents, dented cars and road rage. But nothing seems to deter the PWD from filing up this pothole near Hanuman Café besides Govind Poi hardware shop, though this road is a busy junction and the only road leading to the flyover to connect to Assolna, Chinchinim, Cuncolim, Canacona, Bali and Velim.

No plumbers to repair water pipeline

Yes that’s the case with the water pipeline near Kurtakar residency along the Gogol-Housing Board Junction wherein the water pipeline is ruptured for over two weeks but the department gives an excuse of no plumbers to fix the leak. Even worse the road has caved in and locals have place a bolder for motorist to avoid that stretch but the bolder is a bigger threat at night since it’s not visible and the road is slippery from the leaking pipe.
