BJP stages dharna against price rise in Saligao

CALANGUTE, APRIL 5 The Saligao BJP Block on Monday staged a dharna at Saligao market protesting price rise of essential commodities affecting the common people. The BJP members led by Saligao MLA Dilip Parulekar created awareness among the people and distributed handbills highlighting the hardships faced by the common people.

The BJP members led by Saligao MLA Dilip Parulekar created awareness among the people and distributed handbills highlighting the hardships faced by the common people. They also obtained signatures of the people against the price rise.
“This agitation is part of BJP’s game plan to highlight the hardships being faced by the common people. We created awareness among the locals against the price rise,” MLA Parulekar told Herald.
“We also obtained signatures of the locals which will be submitted to the President along with the petition protesting the price rise. The BJP has plans to undertake a huge agitation to protest the price rise,” added Parulekar.
