Orissa duo held for stealing cash at Calangute

CALANGUTE, APRIL 4 Calangute Police on Sunday arrested two security guards from Orissa on charges of stealing cash worth Rs 1.50 lakh from the safe lockers of a bar at Umtta Vaddo-Calangute in the wee hours of Sunday.

Calangute Police on Sunday arrested two security guards from Orissa on charges of stealing cash worth Rs 1.50 lakh from the safe lockers of a bar at Umtta Vaddo-Calangute in the wee hours of Sunday.
Calangute Police arrested Mohd Riaz alias Raj and Ajay based on a complaint filed by Pedro Anton Fernandes (35) of Mudda Vaddo-Candolim.
In his complaint, Fernandes named both the accused for robbery of cash worth of Rs 1.50 lakh from the safe lockers of his bar at Umtta Vaddo.
According to Calangute Police, the accused entered the bar through the kitchen by cutting the grills and made good their escape with cash Rs 1.50 lakh.
Investigations are in progress under PSI Harish Gauns.
