Waiter remanded for murder

PERNEM, APRIL 6 A 28-year-old waiter, who was arrested in connection with the murder of his friend, has been remanded to seven days custody. It may be recalled that Balwantsingh Mehra (32) of Uttarkhand, who was working as a waiter at a restaurant at Girkarwado, was allegedly stabbed by Irfan Ali,

A 28-year-old waiter, who was arrested in connection with the murder of his friend, has been remanded to seven days custody.
It may be recalled that Balwantsingh Mehra (32) of Uttarkhand, who was working as a waiter at a restaurant at Girkarwado, was allegedly stabbed by Irfan Ali, who was working as a waiter-cum-security guard at a guest house at Dando, which is being run by a Russian national.
Ali was produced before Pernem Judicial Magistrate First Class on Tuesday and was remanded to seven days custody for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Pernem Police recovered the weapon used by the accused to stab Mehra. Police informed that the accused has confessed to the crime.
