PORVORIM: Tourism Minister Manohar (Babu) Azgankar informed the House that Tourism Department is yet to give final permission to organisers of EDM festival Timeout72 Hours to hold its event in Goa this month.

“Tourism Department has not issued final permission to the organiser,” Azgaonkar said in a written reply to a question tabled by Leader of the Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar.

“However, the State Level Permission Committee (SLPC) has recommended to grant permission to Aayush Mehta to organise music festival (EDM) under the banner Timeout72 Hours from December 27 to 29,” the Minister added.

He said permission will be issued on compliance of all conditions issued in the provisional NOC. The minister said applications to hold the event are processed as per the request received from the organisers. “No application for EDM festival has been received for South Goa,” he stated.

The organisers of Timeout72 have already announced the lineup of performers which includes US based rapper Wiz Khalifa and Singer Jason Darulo.
