The Senior Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India's 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 on Tuesday, which will be hosted in the West Indies and the United States.
The team will be led by experienced opener Rohit Sharma, with all-rounder Hardik Pandya serving as the vice-captain. The squad boasts a potent mix of batting and bowling talent, including the likes of Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah.
India will kick off their World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 05, 2024, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. This will be followed by the highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on June 09, 2024, at the same venue.
The team will then face off against the host nations, USA and Canada, on June 12 and 15 respectively, as they look to secure a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.
