Railway Protection Force (RPF) stationed in Madgaon successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of being involved in the theft of railway materials. The stolen items, comprising electric copper cable valued at Rs. 27,880/-, were recovered from the culprits identified as Manjunath H.R, hailing from Mandya, Karnataka, and Sameer Gokak, a resident of Sanjose De-areial Salcete, South Goa.


The diligent efforts of the RPF led to the seizure of the stolen goods, marking a crucial step towards curbing such criminal activities that pose a threat to the smooth functioning of the railway infrastructure.


Following the necessary legal procedures, both suspects were presented before the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Madgaon. While one of the accused was granted conditional bail, the other remains in RPF custody for a period of three days pending further investigation.


The RPF in Madgaon continues its diligent efforts to ensure the safety and security of railway assets, and further investigation into the matter is underway to uncover any additional accomplices or related criminal activities.
