Abdul Rafique, a 62-year-old tourist hailing from Bengaluru, has gone missing during a jeep trip to Dudhsagar on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred when Rafique and his wife were on their excursion to the famed Dudhsagar waterfalls in Goa.
According to reports, the jeep they were traveling in halted near a rivulet within the dense forest around 1:30 PM. It was at this point that Rafique was discovered missing by his wife and fellow travelers. Despite their immediate search efforts in the surrounding area, Rafique could not be located.
Upon failing to find him, his co-passengers promptly notified the Collem police, who have launched an extensive search operation in the area. However, as of now, there has been no trace of Rafique.
Rafique and his wife had been staying at a hotel in Varca, Goa, and had planned the visit to Dudhsagar as part of their itinerary. The missing person's case has been registered by the police, and efforts to locate Rafique are set to continue on Friday.
The circumstances surrounding Rafique's disappearance remain unclear, however the authorities are rigorously finding information regarding his whereabouts.
