In a tragic incident in the New Mahal area of Chandauli, four individuals, including three labourers, lost their lives after inhaling toxic gas while cleaning a 15-year-old septic tank, as confirmed by the police.

Upon receiving the alert, police personnel swiftly reached the scene and arranged for the bodies to undergo post-mortem examination.

Eyewitnesses reported that all three labourers, who entered the septic tank sequentially, succumbed to unconsciousness due to the toxic gas. Tragically, the son of the landlord, who entered the tank in an attempt to rescue the workers, also fell unconscious.
