Review:

The curtains unfold with the cemetery scene wherein Jaison encounters the parish priest (Caziton de Cacora) and he shares the story of his wretched life.

In a flashback, despite being blessed with wealth of children, Helena is unhappy and decides to join the believers’ group in order to overcome financial constraints. But her husband, Melroy, who is a devout, makes all efforts to convince her, but to no avail.

On the other hand, Melroy’s sister Suvarna and her spouse Jaison have amassed ample wealth, but are deprived of the wealth of children. So the childless couple decides to share their riches with Melroy and Helena, with the hope that their children will be of help to them in their old age.

Helena is overjoyed at Jaison and Suvarna’s decision, but ungratefulness empowers the couple over a period of time. Pride taking possession in the heart and they begin to despise those who had assisted them.

Meanwhile, after 15 long years, Suvarna is blessed with the gift of motherhood and that news poses a threat to Helena. Along with her husband, Helena ignores her sister-in-law and refuses to help in moments of need.

Suvarna delivers a boy, but passes away soon after delivery. Jaison has to single-handedly shoulder the responsibility of the child.

Will Jaison be able to row the boat of life independently and anchor it safely? With no assistance from anyone, what does he resort to? What is its outcome? What is the fate of Jaison’s child?

Patrick Dourado’s tiatr ‘Hi Tuji Jivitachi Kanni’ is a family melodrama, which highlights greed for wealth, ungratefulness and its consequences. In a flashback, various events unfold in two families, thus unveiling the story of life. But one would not be so foolish to part with all his wealth and become totally bankrupt at the end.

As couples, Annie and Willy, Pascoal and Roma have doled out fine performances in their respective characters. As a teen, Roniber is confident with his dialogues. Caziton de Cacora, Jose Mario, Tracy and others have extended good support to the main cast.

Comedian Sally, Nato, Agnel and Aveena entertain with some comical pills and the quartet are quite entertaining with some natural acts.

In the category of songs, Jr Reagan steps in with the opening song, followed by solos by Alijoy, Michael, Pascoal Rodrigues, Caziton de Cacora, George, Francis Pinto, duos by Francis and Nazario Pinto, Jr Reagan and Alijoy, Tracy Dias and Loyena Mascarenhas and a trio by Cajetan, Xavier and Marcus Vaz. Solos by Michael and Caziton de Cacora receive encore.

With Nolvert on the trumpet, Norman on the keyboard and other musicians accompanying them, you have some good live music to your ears.
