PANJIM: Dempo Sports Club registered a resounding 8-0 win over Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim in GFA U-16 League match played at Don Bosco ground, Panjim on Thursday.

Ashok Chetri was the hero for the Young Eagles as the striker alone hit five past their opponents. 

Samford Colaco, Velancio Rodrigues and Maximo D’Costa were the other goal scorers. 

Ashok Chetri opened the scoring in the third minute itself to make a clear statement that Dempo SC meant business from the word go.

Don Bosco managed to contain the Young Eagles pressure for the first quarter but finally succumbed to Samford Colaco’s strike in the 22nd minute. The goal killed Don Bosco’s hopes as Ashok scored two goals before the break to make it 4-0. 

Crossing ends, Ashok scored two more goals to take his tally to five goals while Velancio and Maximo also got on to the score sheet.
