Aaron, Akshan shine on Day 2
PANJIM: Aaron Francis and Akshan Lawande starred in the Boys Cadet Category on Day Two of the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias Table Tennis Championship 2018, at the newly constructed arena at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Miramar, on Monday.
The boys cadet category saw some of the most exciting matches being with Aaron Francis and Fynn Gonsalves going the distance in the initial matches.
Aaron was on top of his game right from the start and eventually closed out the game 11-6, 12-10, 11-6 defeating Agastya Motwani.
In the other game played out simultaneously, Akshan won the game scoring 11-8, 13-11, 11-8 against Dhruv Kamat Helekar.
In the semi-final, Aaron defeated Fynn Gonsalves 11-8, 13-11, 7-11, 11-7.
In second semi-final, Akshan L defeated Vivek Carvalho 11-9, 11-6, 12-10.
