CHICALIM: Albert Developers Merces beat Navelim Veterans 4-2 in the Second All Goa Veterans Tournament, at Chicalim VP ground, on Monday.

Both teams started the game well but it was Navelim Veterans who opened the scoring in the 9th minute through Salvador Miranda. 

Albert Developers didn’t let the early setback affect their game and were rewarded in the 25th minute when Francis Fernandes levelled terms. 

The first half ended 1-1. 

The second half was dominated by Albert Developers and took the lead through Luciano Fernandes in the 41st minute. Francis Fernandes made it 3-1 in the 45th minute for the Merces side.

Alex Alvares put the game beyond Navelim’s reach to make it 4-1 in the 50th minute. Claude Dias scored a late consolation goal for Navelim Veterans with the final score of 4-2 in favuor of Albert Developers Merces.

With this win Albert Developers Merces will face Vasco Veterans in the semi-finals on  January 19.
