Ambelim SC cruise past Varca SC
MARGAO: Ambelim Sports Club blanked Varca Sports Club 3-0 to cruise into the quarter-finals of the all-Goa Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union at, Government Village School ground, on Friday .

MARGAO: Ambelim Sports Club blanked Varca Sports Club 3-0 to cruise into the quarter-finals of the all-Goa Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union at, Government Village School ground, on Friday .
Ambelim Sports Club started to settle down and began to enjoy more possession. In the second half, Ambelim Sports Club played with more flair and in the 48th minute striker Simon Dias slotted past the rival goalkeeper with snap shot .
After taking the lead, Ambelim Sports Club continued to hold on to their possession and doubled the lead in the 58th minute when Samson Simoes increase doubled the lead as he calmly beat the rival goalkeeper Mohammed Shaikh with neat placement.
Ambelim finished off the game with the third goal when Ralph Fernandes capped off a brilliant performance.
