CUNCOLIM: Ambelim Sports Club got the better of  Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club 3-1 to book their place in the final of the Rising Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Rising Club of Sanvorcotta, at Cuncolim School ground, Cuncolim, on Saturday.

Ambelim SC led by 2-0 at the breather. 

Samson Simoes opened the account for Ambelim SC in the 4th minute off a pass received from Zade Cardozo. 

Later, Michael Silva doubled the lead in the 25th minute off a spot-kick as Areal defender Mario Baretto brought down Samsan Fernandes in the box.

Areal reduced the margin at the start of the second session through Joston Fernandes on spot kick. 

Referee Sharad Naik awarded a free-kick as Michael Silva dangerously tackled Aslon Oliveira in the danger zone. 

Zade Colaco made issue safe for Ambelim Sports Club after scoring their third goal off a pass received from Samson Simoes. 

Joston Fernandes of Sao Jose de Areal SC was adjudged man-of-the-match.
