Anish stars in Bhatikar Model win over Shenvi
PANJIM: Off spinner Anish Mhaddolkar took 9 for 13 as Bhatikar Model School steamrolled Shenvi School by 271 runs in the semi-final of the President’s Shield, organised by Goa Cricket Association, at Arlem ground, Margao, on Monday.

PANJIM: Off spinner Anish Mhaddolkar took 9 for 13 as Bhatikar Model School steamrolled Shenvi School by 271 runs in the semi-final of the President’s Shield, organised by Goa Cricket Association, at Arlem ground, Margao, on Monday.
Winning the toss and electing to bat Tushar Kudnekar (119) and Omkar Bhandari (122) shared a 243 run third wicket partnership and helped Bhatikar score a huge 343 for 4 in the stipulated 40 overs.
Shriom Bale scored 21. Sandeep (2) and Sameer (1) were the other wickets takers for Shenvi School.
Anish then spun a web around the Shenvi batsmen as none could counter his guile as they were bundled out for 72 runs.
