SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Chandor Club defeated Curtorim Gymkhana 2-0 to lift the 36th Sao Jose de Areal panchayat cup organised by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal on Sunday.

Curtorim Gymkhana went on attacking note from the first whistle with Savio Fernandes long range hit the rival cross bar and went out of play in the second minute, there after Chandor’s Benson Fernandes’ power packed shot failed to find the net in the 6th minute. 

It was Frazier Gomes who netted a brace for Chandor in the 12th and 60th minute. Curtorim tried to equalise but the defence wall of Chandor stood solid rock.

The winners were awarded Rs.40, 000 and runners-up pocketed Rs.30, 000.
